CSBC Corporation (2208-TW) announced that the first meteorological observation tower for the offshore wind farm in Taiwan was officially completed today (31st), taking the first step towards becoming a "marine engineering planning constructor".

CSBC Corporation pointed out that the meteorological observation tower is located in Changhua Fuhai Wind Farm, planned and established by Fuhai Wind Farm Corporation, independently developed by CECI Engineering Consultants Incorporation, manufactured by Century Iron & Steel Corporation, with marine transportation and installation works performed by CSBC Corporation, with instrument planning and installation performed by Smart Tech Scientific Corporation and Ship And Ocean Industries R&D Center, with paint material provided by Yung Chi Paint, with cement grouting and wear resistance technology provided by Zhongwei Wind Farm Corporation, and with fleets provided by Yu Ping Shipping and SEAGREEN Enterprise. To sum up, the meteorological observation tower is the final results of the great team works from several domestic companies.

Recently, CSBC Corporation is committed to developing marine engineering industry, with the primary task involving the use of marine engineering and vessel technology to develop offshore wind power industry in accordance with the government policy.

With 2 super power tugboats and 1 flat barge, coupled with the existing ship stability calculation & analysis technology, offshore positioning, offshore loading, offshore installation, piling, grouting, leveling and other professional technologies, CSBC Corporation is committed to becoming a professional marine engineering contractor.

CSBC Corporation points out that in addition to a small number of professional technicians from China and other countries, more than 100 domestic technicians, engineers, and certification unit technicians were engaged in this construction project. In addition, more than 20 domestic vessels including tugboats, barges, hopper barges, guard ships, anchor barges, and transport vessels were also devoted. Among the entire marine engineering fleets and machinery, an additional working platform is required. Since no proper installation vessel could be found domestically, HUADIAN 1001 from Mainland China was applied for according to the government regulations. Based on National Security Bureau's control measures, everything including personnel, communication, and drawings were fully controlled to ensure national security.

CSBC Corporation points out that after integrating existing domestic energy and resources, a complete marine engineering group has been successfully formulated. From designing, engineering planning, management, construction, and finally to installation, a great amount of construction technology and overall solution have been accumulated to support for the future offshore wind power and marine engineering capacity.
