Once established, the parks will   integrate the manufacturing and production processes of both upstream and   downstream wind power suppliers. This will not only reduce costs but also   enhance the quality and technology competitiveness, particularly in foreign   markets. Taiwan possesses favorable wind resources, with 16 out of the top 20   global wind farms located offshore in Taiwan, primarily concentrated in the   central region, which is considered highly suitable for offshore wind power   development. Among the locations, Taichung Port stands out due to its   proximity to the wind farms, optimal water depth, sufficient back-end space,   and well-established infrastructure. The port can accommodate large   installation vessels, making it an ideal base for offshore wind turbine   component construction and assembly. In the future, closer collaboration with   the port authority will be strengthened to jointly plan and develop the   surrounding living functions of Taichung Port, attracting high-quality   enterprises to establish a presence in the area.
