n   Leading with Technology

For steel structure constructions, to maintain product quality and improve the level of technology, the Company integrates new knowledge of the steel structure industry under various relevant R&D projects to continue improving its production procedures and hoisting technology; it also attached attention to the structural test application of various beam-column transition piece, tenacity, and various junction boards, introduced patents and construction with damping design for steel structures, and brought in automated production equipment of hi-tech to improve its production capacity and quality.

 

CT has obtained certifications related to ISO 3834 to prove the welding engineering management standards of the Company. Meanwhile, we also proactively cultivate professional welding talents for high-end certification to comply with the stringing requirements for the serious difficulty of the offshore wind farm establishment, as well as the tolerance, anti-corrosion cracking, or brittle strength conditions regarding the installation of offshore turbines.

 

At present, underwater constructions possess greater difficulty, and the technical level required is increased to 6G (comprehensive round tube) and even to 6GR (comprehensive round tube with obstacles). As such, CT established a welding school with Bladt and the Bureau of Employment and Vocational Training to cultivate professional welding talents, retain the technologies in Taiwan, and step forward to our target of national production for offshore underwater foundation structures in Taiwan.

n   Localized Production

Based on years of steel structure experiences, CT has introduced foreign supply chain management and mature manufacturing technologies for underwater foundation facilities from Europe, and has responded to the “Offshore Wind Power Industry Supply Chain Localization” promoted by the government; from demonstration rewards, potential venue, to the regional development for ten-year policy, the company has always been supportive and actively participating. Through the technologies introduced by CT, we hope to accelerate the localization of the industrial chain for turbines, increase work opportunities, and facilitate the upgrade and transformation of local industries, allowing professional technologies and premium talents to be retained in Taiwan. Then, we take Taiwan as the development base for offshore wind power development, and in turn, expand its Asian market, and become the leading role for wind power development in Asia in the future, creating the sustainable development of energy.

n   Additional Wind Power Production Line at Yunlin Plant

Taiwan’s wind power industry is supported by government policies and actively promotes localization. CT, as a leading manufacturer in the wind power steel supply chain, possesses advanced manufacturing technology and is continuously recruiting new talent to gradually expand production capacity. In response to the growing demand for offshore wind power products in the offshore wind power process and supply, CT has made adjustments to its production lines in the plant and planned to increase the production of wind power products at its Yunlin plant in 2021.
