Social Prosperity
Social Prosperity
CT adheres to the principle of taking from society and giving back to society; as its scale has continuously expanded, it actively implements corporate social responsibility and, in recent years, has invested in diverse public welfare activities to bring sustainable change to society and the environment through various types of initiatives.
Social Responsibility Topics and Performance Results
In addition to emphasizing governance issues, CT also considers the potential impacts of its operations on the environment and society as a whole, focusing on three main issues: community engagement, ecological conservation, and talent cultivation, and aims to diversify its corporate social responsibility initiatives to achieve economic prosperity, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability.
Not limited to the local community in Taoyuan, CT extends its love across Taiwan.
Investment Performance
While revenue has grown, CT has not forgotten to give back to local communities and has actively devoted resources, with the total investment rising from NTD 1,485 thousand in 2021 to NTD 8,925 thousand in 2025. We will continue to return resources to society in the future to achieve sustainable operations.
Highlights of Social Prosperity Achievements
Implementing Local Contributions
| |
CT has long been concerned about socially underprivileged individuals from various corners of society and the Chairman is deeply attentive to issues affecting these vulnerable groups. He once told colleagues that whenever someone requests to see him, whether they are cleaning staff or foreign migrant workers, the Chairman considers it could be a very important matter. Therefore, he dispatches the relevant departments to listen carefully to their appeals, understand their actual needs, and then provide the greatest possible assistance in a timely manner through actions such as donating funds and materials, volunteer services, repair services, and emergency relief. |

The problems of climate change and global warming are intensifying, resulting in disastrous rainfall, floods, droughts, and extreme weather events occurring frequently, posing a serious threat to socioeconomic development and to people’s lives and property, and local agriculture in Taiwan has been especially hard hit. Deeply rooted in Taoyuan, CT purchased a total of 1,536 jin of watermelons from local small-scale farmers, hoping to create additional farming income for farmers. Through cooperation with farmers, the agricultural products purchased were also distributed to all plant employees. |

CT offers numerous employment opportunities to inmates, enabling them to secure stable work and acquire skills, so that they can smoothly reintegrate back into society in the future, while also supporting government policies to alleviate overcrowding in detention facilities. Not only that, if employees under external correctional supervision perform well, CT will give them priority employment upon their release, hoping to give them a new beginning. As time has passed, the results have gradually blossomed. Currently, CT has over 300 employees, of whom more than 10 are rehabilitated individuals. |

Guided by the philosophy of giving back to society, we donated 1 peach-colored SUV inspired by Lala peaches as a dedicated transport vehicle for the Jiala cultural health station. This initiative not only increased attendance rates at the station, but also gave family members peace of mind to continue farming. By personally picking up and dropping off elderly persons with limited mobility, they were able to come to the station for happy learning. This also allowed tribal elders to enjoy long-term care services nearby, and enabled elderly persons in remote areas and indigenous friends to travel to and from the station with peace of mind and safety to receive care and companionship. |

Ecological Protection
| |
Caota Sand Dunes Geological Park in Taoyuan City spans Dayuan District and Guanyin District, measures 8.1 kilometers in length and covers 284 hectares, and constitutes the largest and most complete coastal sand dune in Taiwan. The Taoyuan City Government works with citizens to protect the coastal ecosystem, involving local residents, students, and many local companies that lead their employees in beach cleanup efforts. CT is one of them. We led our colleagues to Caota Sand Dunes to join a beach cleanup. Together, everyone joined hands to protect the environment, make a contribution, and show their love for the ocean by becoming marine debris guardians. |

Committed to Volunteer Participation

Each year in Taiwan, over 600 infants and young children lose their original families and enter care institutions. These children often suffer from severe allergies and hyperactivity symptoms. Fruits and vegetables are critically important supplies for orphanages and are a nutritious, natural snack. Century Steel collaborated with the Green Box Baby Association to organize a fruit and vegetable packaging activity at the Wugu warehouse, selecting produce grown using eco‑friendly farming methods to create more positive cycles for the land, not only helping the organization address labor shortages but also embodying the ideals of environmental friendliness and social friendliness. |

Promotion of Talent Education
To promote energy transition, the government has in recent years made offshore wind power a key national development project, and it is imperative to cultivate talent for the green energy industry. As an offshore wind power underwater foundation manufacturer, CT not only co-develops Taiwan’s offshore wind power with European developers but also exchanges technology and talent with various countries.
Investment in Century Green Energy Vocational High School 2025
To cultivate professional talent for the green energy industry and support the national green energy policy, in order to establish a model of education, become a training base for green energy talent, and concurrently assist national economic development. Chairman Lai Wen-Xiang upholds the principles of “integrating learning and application, corporate support for education, and employment upon graduation” to guide young people in exploring themselves and broadening their horizons, and looks forward to more outstanding students enrolling at Century Green Energy Vocational High School and interning at the various companies under the Century Group to become the Group’s future pillars. In 2025, there were a total of 20 participants in the cooperative education program. |

Emphasis on education in remote areas June 10, 2025
Chairman Lai Wen Xiang understands the difficulties rural students face in accessing education. Chiayi Shetuan Primary School is so remote that after entering junior high school, students must walk over an hour to reach the nearest school, making bicycles a necessary means of transportation. To broaden children’s horizons and give rural students confidence and the ability to learn, CT has continually donated laptops or bicycles to graduates each year for the past 17 years. |

School visits 2025 | |
Visits to the Company are offered occasionally to students and parents interested in learning about the steel structure manufacturing industry. During these visits, dedicated staff explain to students and parents the drafting and manufacturing processes for wind power and steel structures, as well as green energy development and corporate ESG models. Through these hands-on visits, students can experience workplace life and connect it with what they normally learn at school, and parents can feel confident arranging internships for their children at the Century Group. To date, a total of 127 participants, 1 from elementary school, 2 from junior high schools, and 1 from senior vocational high school, have taken part. |
